Our current highlighted nonprofit: NOMI Network

NOMI Network is a longstanding, extraordinary partner of Ventures for Hope.  They are working to end modern slavery through poverty alleviation, which they see as the primary driver of women and girls’ vulnerability to exploitation.  NOMI focuses on creating pathways to safe employment and economic stability and thus empowers women to rewrite the narratives for future generations.

NOMI’s work focuses in the following areas:

Workforce Development:  NOMI provides life skills training, sector specific technical training, job placement or support for business start-up, and ongoing mentoring.

Fashion Incubator:  NOMI’s International Fashion Training school supports development of advanced fashion and production skills.

Ethical Supply Chains:  NOMI connects corporate brands and consumers to ethical supply chains through its NOMI brand.  NOMI’s leadership are important US advocates for ethical supply chains.

Adolescent Girls:  NOMI provides young girls with a safe place to socialize and learn important new skills.  Girls learn their rights and become advocates for change within their communities.
